We are back to where it all started, home. Erin has taken a permanent Oncology RN position at Bloomington Hospital, and Danny is going to test the waters of the family business. We have enjoyed our 3 years of traveling across this beautiful country, but the inevitable has arrived: we are moving back home. We are both excited & nervous about our transition from temporary to permanent employees/residents. Unfortunately, our house in Brown County won’t be ready for our return until May. However, we are blessed to have wonderful family members that will be housing us until we make the move into our permanent home.
If you’ve been following our travels, you have an idea of how much fun we have had the past few years. From hiking up mountains, adventure motorcycle touring, eating sushi with friends, hanging out on private yachts, picking up family members at the airport, reuniting with cousins from another state, swimming in 2 different oceans, playing a little golf, renting a lot of movies, karaoking at Q’s, dealing numerous hands of pinochle, and making more memories than we could have ever imagined possible-the last 3 years have been the best 3 years of our young lives. Most importantly, these last 3 years of our marriage we have learned to truly lean on each other in both the good times and the bad times.
So now after putting more than 60, 000 miles on the trusty Honda Accord and 16,000 miles on the Suzuki motorcycle, our compass is pointing home. We will miss the friends we have made and places we have been while traveling, but we are very excited to build on the foundation we have waiting for us at home. Everyday we are reminded of God’s love for us, and we look forward to continuing to realize this love and sharing it’s truth with others. Thank you God for providing us a road to travel, and thank you God for allowing this road to lead us back home.
Danny & Erin
